Curriculum:

The Allen School shows a certain ambition to the curriculum of education. The curriculum is updated according to the changing needs and circumstances. It is modified according to advancements in research and medical technology.
 
The graduates of Allen school are encouraged to retain exclusive edge in competition. Many of the graduates of Allen School take the support of enhanced training in order to set the foundation for further education.
 

History of Allen School:

The institution was first incorporated in 1961 and the name of the institution at that time was ‘Allen School for Physicians' Aides’. The basic reason of incorporation of the institution was the provision of quality and professional programs to the people of Jamaica.
 
 On January 31st, 1980, Loretta Teich purchased the institution. One of the initial aims and focus of the institution was to teach and prepare the students in order to make them proficient in nursing assistance.
 
During the initial growth of the School, the son of Mrs. Teich closely worked with his mother and learned the business. Later they decided to expand the institution and opened a campus in downtown Brooklyn, NY. In beginning, the institution offered ‘nursing assistant’ programs. However, after some time period Medical Office Assistant program was also started to be offered in February, 1999.
 
The medical Assistance program has become a source of making the institution one of the leaders in health science education in New York.
 
Mr. Robert Teich s/o Mrs. Loretta teich now serves as the president of institution. The Allen School bears the honor of graduating above than 70,000 students.
 

Office of student services:

The Allen School manages an office of student services. Main focus of the department of student services is to provide support to continuing and new students and manage them in an effective manner.
 
This department is meant to assist the students in fulfilling academic, financial and career related requirements.
 

Academics:

The Allen School has been training men and women in the medical fields since 1961. The school offers medical programs only and this is likely to be an area of expertise of the school.

PS15 Health Fair:
The Allen School participated in the event of PS15 Health Fair to provide blood pressure screenings. This event was held in partnership with Long Island College Hospital.
 
Kidney Early Evaluation Program in Brooklyn:
The Allen School took participation in the event of ‘National Kidney Foundation – Kidney Early Evaluation Program in Brooklyn’. Assistance was provided in this program by the school to provide screenings so that early indicators of Kidney diseases could be identified.
 
Pair UP Event Launch to raise awareness for kidney disease:
The Allen School participated in the event called as ‘Pair UP Event Launch to raise awareness for kidney disease- American Kidney Fund’ in order to provide assistance regarding blood pressure screenings.
 
Cystic Fibrosis Foundation – Cycle for Life:
In this event, the Allen School provided assistance to cope up with non-emergency and emergency situations in the first aid capacity.
 
Susan G. Komen – Race for the Cure:
In this event assistance was provided by the Allen School for Walgreens Pharmacy regarding the screenings of blood pressure.
