About 30 years have lapsed since its foundation, which means that the American Career College possesses a vast experience of 30 years. Since the beginning thousands of students have been catered by American Career College.
Through the years, the American Career College has grown gradually by enhancing curriculum, faculty and campuses.
Today, American Career College has become a leader in the education field of health care and it possesses campuses at 3 different locations in southern California.
The American College puts a vast focus on the quality education even though its educational programs and facilities have changed according to different circumstances and needs.
In 1990, the name of the College was changed to American College of Optechs and in the same year the college started to offer ‘Pharmacy Technician Program’ as well.
In the next decade, the college also included other programs like medical billing and medical assisting.
In order to reflect the mission of the college and the curricula of the college, name of the college was permanently changed to American Career College in 1993.

Student services staff was hired at American Career College in order to manage day to day needs of the students. The student services staff provides information about academic tutoring, professional counseling services, childcare and transportation etc.
Orientation:
Before the beginning of first class, an orientation program is held for the students. In this program, students get to hear from different departments and they also get a chance to ask questions. In this orientation programs students also get a chance to develop familiarity with their new classmates.
Quarterly Satisfaction Surveys:
Quarterly surveys are conducted in order to get feedback from the students. In these surveys, views of students are sought about the working of college and they are also encouraged to give suggestions regarding improvements and enhancements.
Advising/Tutoring Assistance:
The faculty and staff members show flexibility in providing services to the students. They are willing to help and are readily available. In order to help students through the academic tough spots, tutoring is also provided to the students.
Student Appreciation Day:
On this day, the students are appreciated in a humble manner and this day is stuffed with fun in order to relax the students.
Parking:
Parking facility is provided to the students so that the students may not get into trouble for parking their vehicles.
Graduation Ceremony:
Graduation Ceremony is conducted at American Career College in order to celebrate the completion of graduation of students. This ceremony occurs two times a year per campus.
GED preparation:
General Educational Development (GED) is a certificate, which is required for some ACC programs. At American career College, GED preparation opportunity is also provided to the students.

The American Career College was founded on 11 January, 1978. Initially its name was ‘American College of Optics’. In 1985, the College was transferred to Wilshire Boulevard. - Orange County campus is spread on the area of 21,000 square feet. It consists of 9 classrooms and computer labs. This campus also includes 3 fully equipped labs.
- The Ontario campus is spread on the areas of 64,000 square feet and it consists of 16 classrooms and 9 fully equipped labs.
