 A brief epitome of History of institution:

 In 1965, Bill Brook met with his fellow members of chamber of commerce and the agenda of discussion was set to be the building of new college in Bellevue. A year ahead of that meeting, Brooks and his chamber of Commerce colleagues headed the foundation of Bellevue College.

The College was given the status of University in 1994. Since its formation, the institution has been striving to foster adult learning and education.
 
In 1996, the Bellevue University was granted as one of the first institutions accredited to confer online programs.
