Why Berkeley

  • Berkeley College was founded in 1931.
  • College celebrated it's 75 years milestone in 2006.
  • It offers a complete range of degree programs including Inter Departmental Degrees.
  • Students are admitted throughout the year for every quarter. Admissions are offered in four months i.e. January, April, July, and September. 
  • Enrollment: More than 8,700 students including more than 800 international, representing over 100 countries have been enrolled in the college out of which 77% compose the population in Bachelor's degree and  23% Associate's degree. Amongst the most prefered degree Justice Studies - Criminal Justice, Management, Fashion Marketing and Management, and Accounting lead all of the rest.
  • Berkeley College has a Diverse population amongst the students. Based upon the ethnicity, the admitted students consist of 27% Hispanic, 27% African American, 14% Caucasian, 3% Asian, 20% Other, and 9% International. On the basis of gender the population comprises of 68% Females and 32% Males.Based on Agegroups the 50% of the enrolees are 22 and under while rest 50%  are 23 and above.
  • Military: Berkeley College is proud to support the Post 9/11 GI Bill and is a member of the Yellow Ribbon program and also is a Servicemembers Opportunity College (SOC). Berkeley College also has partnered with the Department of Defense for Military Tuition Assistance programs for all branches of the military.
  • Resources: Berkeley College students have access to a wide range of career-oriented academic programs, computer training, Library Services, Academic Support Centers, Student Advisement, Career Services, and a Student Development and Campus Life Department.
  • Athletics and Recreation: Berkeley College provides men and women opportunities to participate in organized intercollegiate and intramural sports at a variety of levels. Berkeley College is a member of the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA), as well as the Hudson Valley Men's and Women's Athletic Conferences.

  • All locations, other than Brooklyn which is pending, are accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (3624 Market Street, Philadelphia, PA 19104; telephone: 215-662-5606)
  • The Paralegal Studies programs are approved by the American Bar Association (ABA).
New York State
  • The Midtown Manhattan and White Plains locations are authorized by the New York State Board of Regents to confer the degrees of Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.), Bachelor of Science (B.S.), Associate in Science (A.S.), and Associate in Applied Science (A.A.S.). 
  • The Brooklyn location is authorized by the New York State Board of Regents to confer the degrees of Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) and Associate in Applied Science (A.A.S.). 
New Jersey State
  • The New Jersey locations are authorized by the Secretary of Higher Education, to confer the degrees of Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.), Bachelor of Science (B.S.), Associate in Science (A.S.), and Associate in Applied Science (A.A.S.).
