History:

In 1958, Chapman University College was established near Marine Corps Air Station El Toro in order to meet the educational needs of military personnel.

However, generous donations were made by the Brandman Foundation and the institution got the status of fully accredited, separate University named as Brandman University.

Since its foundation, the Brandman University has strived to expand its network with 26 campuses in California and Washington. The institution also offers online academic programs.

Disability services:

Americans with Disabilities Act, defines disable individual as a person having functional limitations resulting from a diagnosed disability.

The Brandman University provides resources and information to the individuals having disability. However, the University provides disability services to those candidates who fall in the eligibility criteria of these services.  

Following services are provided to disable students:
  • Disable individuals are facilitated with Volunteer peer note-taking.
  • Exclusive arrangements for test-taking are done for disable students.
  • The students having disabilities are provided with tape-recorded lectures.
*the disability services are not limited to these benefits only. Services may change according to the needs of students.

Military services:

The Brandman University shows a dedication to provide educational services to military personnel, their spouses and veterans.

Through a flexible network of 26 campuses in Washington and California, the Brandman University offers certificates, undergraduate degrees, graduate degrees, extended education programs and teaching credentials to military personnel, their spouses and veterans.

In order to foster more flexibility and convenience, the university also offers online degree programs.

Campus Security:

The university pays due importance to the campus security. In order to keep the campuses secure different initiatives are undertaken by the university.

University‐Owned Facilities:
The university contracts with different licensed commercial agencies in order to get the security services for university owned facilities. 

University‐Leased Facilities:
The landlord of the leased facilities or the university itself makes arrangements for the security services. The coordination of security services is done on behalf of the university by Assistant Vice Chancellor.

University‐Licensed Facilities on Military Installations:
For classroom/office space which is licensed by the governmental agency, the security services are provided by the governmental agency itself.

Classes Held Off Campus at an Employer’s Site:
The employer is responsible for the security of classes which are held off campus at an employer’s site.
