The accelerated learning environment provided by the Bryan College leads to the development of productive and practical skills. The college focuses on the individualized learning of the students and encourages the students to earn education according to their capacities. The institution also encourages the exposure of its students to real-world conditions in order to help them in adopting the professional environment of working.

A brief epitome of the history of college:

Dr. Mildred T. Bryan established the Bryan College at central Los Angeles in 1940. The college initiated as a stenography school and it is regarded as one of the oldest stenography learning institutions in United States.

Dr. Mildred T. Bryan named it as Bryan Stenotype School in the beginning and it started its services with one class-room and three students.

Based on the vision of Dr. Mildred T. Bryan, the institution has developed with a focus on student and employer based principles of excellence. 

In 2005, a new college campus was opened in California. New learning programs based on the mission and legacy of the Bryan College were commenced at this campus. Recently, the Bryan College, Los Angeles has gained the status of university.

Major Accreditation:

Accreditation is an honor or recognition which is granted to an institution if it meets or exceeds the standard criteria of delivering quality education.

Student Services:

The student services staff members of Bryan College are committed to ameliorate the student experience by reckoning a wide range of educational, social and motivational programs. The college is aimed to nurture the educational goals and well-being of its students.

Individualized support is provided to the students before graduation in order to assist them to figure out an effective job search plan. This also includes career-building tools, interviewing skills and resume writing. Mock interviews are also conducted by the staff members in order provide an interview experience to the students.

Alumni Services:

The Alumni service staff of the Bryan College provides support to the alumni. This includes the provision of life-long job placement help and accessible alumni network in order to foster the career success of its students.

The college holds belief on the life-long education. So, it offers many refresher courses to the passed out candidates and these refresher courses are conferred without any tuition-fee.

Grading Policies:

Grading provides the feedback to the students in order to judge their performances against the set college and university standards. The students get the final grades on the basis of the quantitative and qualitative assessment of the work done by them.

Qualitative factors such as personal growth and student’s attitude are also permitted to be taken into consideration by the instructors in order to determine the final grades of the students.

Learning resource center:

The learning resource center (LRC) of Bryan College provides support for informational and educational needs of the students. The learning resource center seeks to enhance the information competency skills of the students. The Bryan College LRC provides access to the following:

• Computers

LRC is provided with computers having web access. The students can use the computers during the campus hours. Free access to the networked printers is also provided by LRC to the students.

• Online Library:

LRC provides access to a library website which is stuffed with full text-article databases, program specific pages and electronic books. The website also provides links to relevant and reliable websites, newspapers, magazines and journals.

• Academic Assistance:

Free tutoring is provided to the students as a supplement of in-class education. Students may make a requisition to LRC for academic assistance or they can also get academic assistance through program instructors/directors. Academic assistance is provided for the following.

• Writing skills
