In order to accomplish this mission, the college is committed to deliver diverse education that is likely to promote motivation, discipline and accountability. Additionally the college is also committed to offer career services to its students.
In 1978 Mr. James Miller purchased the school and continued to improve its educational programs. However, in 1981 Mr. Lawrence D. Earle bought an interest in the institution and he strived to broaden the financial base of the school.
By August 1982, the institution savored the honor of being accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Independent Colleges and Schools.
In 1989, Mr. Lawrence D. Earle bought the remaining shareholding of the institution from his partner, Mr. James Miller and the name of the school was changed to Career Point Business School. In 2001, the name of the institution was changed to its present name: ‘Career Point College’.
In 2007, the college started to offer associate in applied science degrees in Network Support Specialist, Legal Administrative Assisting and Administrative Assisting.
In 2009, the college got the approval to offer online degrees and in 2010 it got approval to confer Bachelor’s degrees in Business Administration, Information Technology - Network Administration, information Technology - Web Design and Health Care Administration.

The graduates receive Congratulatory Letter, personalized Membership Certificate and a gold medal of distinction.
The membership is based on excellence in leadership, service in classes, school activities, classroom work, good moral character and personal integrity.

History of the College:
The Career Point College was established in 1921 by Harold R. Frazell in Kansas City Missouri. The college started its services as Dickinson Business School. In 1953 a secretarial program was added to the range of the courses it conferred and new shorthand system was introduced which became widely famous and the institution became known as "Dickinson Shorthand."In 1978 Mr. James Miller purchased the school and continued to improve its educational programs. - The faculty members spend extra time at the college after executing morning classes.
- Evening (1:00 pm – 4:50 pm) and night shift (5:30 pm – 10:20 pm) students can come an hour early in order to avail the tutoring services.
- AAS Degree program students can arrange meeting with their individual instructors during their office hours.
- Nurse Aide program students who attend their classes on Saturdays can come from Monday to Friday during the scheduled tutoring timings.
