• Central Michigan University came into existence on september 13th, 1892, as a teaching college and business institute. 
• University has over 28,389 students enrolled to its name with 21,290 enrolled on Mount Pleasent campus and 7,099 enrolled through 60 locations in North America. It holds more than 50 campuses along with online campuses, which are located in Mexico and Canada. 
• University offers more than 200 academic programs at undergraduate and graduate level. The institute has over 1017 faculty and 1441 staff members, 92 percent of the employees are full time.

• The tution fee for the undergraduate students falls up to $17,780. The institute offers the financial aids of about $260 million under financial aid grants, scholarships, loans and work and study opportunities, which have been awarded to 80% of the employees.
• The students are provided a mixture of 22 residence halls with veriety of living accomodations. certain residencies are designated as residential colleges for certain acedamic departments providing the opportunities to the students to study collaboratively with other students from similar programs.

Central Michigan University came into existance in 1892 as a school of teaching and business at Mount pleasent and was originally founded as a school of teaching and business education. Central Michigan university is now considered Michigan's fourth largest institute and amongst the 100 largest public universities in US.
