About Daytona College

At Daytona College, training is provided to the students for professional employment in technical and specialized fields.  The education at Daytona College is structured in harmony with the needs of employers and the college focuses on the methods that foster not only the skills but also the professional image of the students.

The Daytona College is dedicated to the objective of delivering the education that prepares the students for a new career.

History of the School

The Daytona College was established in April 1996 and initially it was given the name of Daytona Institute of Massage Therapy. In its earlier days the college focused on the training of massage therapists so that the needs of Ormond Beach, Orlando, Daytona and surrounding Florida communities could be served.

In 2004, the school savored the honor of being accredited by ‘Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges’ and later in 2006 it got degree granting status. Gradually, the college did expansions to add    Cosmetology, Aesthetic Skin Care, Business and Allied Health programs to its range.

In 2007, Daytona College moved to its current location in Ormond Beach, Florida.

The college savors the honors of having professional diversity with professionals rich in experience and expertise in the fields of skin care, cosmetology, massage therapy, medical billing, healthcare and business.

Student Services

Following are the services which are provided to the students at Daytona College.

Career Services
In order to nurture the students for entering into the workforce, the Daytona College has allotted dedicated career service representatives. The college provides assistance to the students and graduates to become successful in their fields.

Student Activities
The students of Ormond Beach campus are encouraged to participate in activities such as community outreach, discipline acknowledgement days, special college functions, volunteer experiences and other activities.

Additionally, the students pursuing the Natural Health, cosmetology, aesthetics skincare, therapeutic massage and skincare programs participate to work in public clinics as a part of their curriculum.

Advising
Academic advising is provided to all the students of Daytona College. The administration and staff of the college are available to provide assistance to the students who face problems in achieving satisfactory progress.

Learning Resource Center
A separate library is available in the college which is housed with computers having internet access, periodicals and reference materials to complement the programs offered. Electronic library system is also subscribed by Daytona College which can be accessed by all residential and distant learning students.
