A brief epitome of history of college:

In 1863, Edward Payson Heald opened the first Heald College in San Francisco, California. The college bears a history of above than 145 years and it has been through two major earthquakes and two world wars. 

With the changing needs, the college evolved its curriculum from business courses to include healthcare, technology and legal degrees.
