In 1984: The Tampa, Fla., campus was opened which offered associate of applied science degree programs.
In 1999, the institute changed its name to International Academy of Design and in 2000, the words ‘& technology’ were added to the name of the institution in order to give a reflection of the addition of technology programs.
In 2001, a branch campus was opened by International Academy of Design and Technology in Orlando, Fla. With the passage of time, the institution opened other campuses in Troy-Mich., Henderson-Nev., The Nashville-Tenn., Seattle, San Antonio-Texas. Sacramento- Calif.
In 2009, the International Academy of Design and Technology-Online savored the honor of being approved by ACICS to operate as a separate entity.

History of International Academy of Design and Technology:
In 1977, at Merchandize Mart in Chicago, the International Academy of Merchandising and Design, Ltd was founded by Clem Stein, Jr. The institute started its journey as a private educational college.In 1984: The Tampa, Fla., campus was opened which offered associate of applied science degree programs.
