Educational Philosophy

Pacific College of Oriental Medicine holds the belief that energetic and physiological principles of Oriental Medicines are knowable by average human-beings. Moreover, the knowledge base of this medical system can be enhanced by scientific research. The college believes that the knowledge of oriental medicine is teachable, knowable and accessible.

Student Services

Following are the student services which are provided to the students at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine.

Student Resource Services
The college has developed a partnership with Student Resource Service in order to resolve the issues which may trammel the academic progress of the students. The support services may include: Immediate access to Master’s level counselors, online self-assistance tools and individualized assistance to facilitate access to transportation, childcare and other daily living needs.

Tutorial Assistance
Students may need assistance for planning their academic curriculum. Personnel from the office of academic dean or registrar review the file of each student before the commencement of first/second comprehensive exams in order to judge the academic progress of the students.

Career planning
Admissions representative or Admissions Committee member provide career planning assistance to the students prior to entrance. Additional career services are provided by Academic Dean, Assistant Academic Dean, Campus Director, Director of Education, or Registrar whenever needed by the students during the learning program.

Study groups
The Pacific College of Oriental Medicine encourages the development of study groups so that learning process could be enhanced. Study groups are normally formed among the students enrolled in any course.
