Academic Advisement is a collaborative process through which students and advisors partner with each other in order to achieve the learning goals that support student success.

The academic advisement provides students with the tools and referrals that are required for achieving success. Academic advisors are responsible for providing clear and accurate information regarding the policies, procedures and deadlines of the university. They are also supposed to assist students for making academic plans in line with the goals, abilities and interests of students.

Academic advisors are likely to clarify general education, major/minor requirements and offer recommendations and strategies for academic success.

Curriculum

The Rutgers Business School offers a strong curriculum which becomes a source of providing students with skills needed to become world class leaders and successful executives. Included in the foundation courses of Rutgers Business School are management, accounting and other courses that focus on hard and soft skills.

Included in the elective courses are ‘Managing U.S. Workforce Diversity’ and ‘Multi-National Cross-Cultural Management’. Other courses include ‘Social Entrepreneurship’ and ‘Multicultural Markets & Urban Developments’.

Study abroad opportunities are also provided by Rutgers Business School in South-Asia, India and China, however, other countries are also under consideration.

Pre enrollment programs are also provided by Rutgers Business School to the students who are interested in careers in business. A summer program named as ‘Scholars Training and Enrichment Program (STEP)’ is also provided by the school on Newark Campus.
