Under the leadership of J.E. Metzger, the Santa Barbara Business College became able to regard itself for providing employment-oriented education and training. Edward B. Hoover took charge of the leadership of college in 1890’s. Under Hoover’s directions, the Santa Barbara Business College quickly adapted to teach skills that were in demand.
Gradually, the college added educational programs in accordance with the demands of industry and technology and savored the honor of expanding to five communities in Southern California.
In partnership with Wallace Wong, a successful investor and business owner, Johnston in 1979 came to lead the college. However, in 2005, Mathew Johnston became the president of college. The college also savored the honor of adding MBA program and Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Criminal Justice and Healthcare Administration.
In order to confirm the high standards of educational excellence, the accreditation agencies continuously evaluate the integrity, continuous improvement, accountability and open communication of the institutions which reside on their rosters.
The accreditation instills confidence in the educational community and institutions' constituencies. In order to evaluate the transfers of credit and applications for postgraduate study, the colleges and universities also rely on the accreditation status.
