HISTORY OF SPENCERIAN COLLEGE

The Spencerian College was founded by Enos Spencer in 1892. Enos Spencer was a well-recognized business educator of that time.

In the book named ‘Beginning of the Business School’, the author Charles G. Reigner mentioned about Spencerian College that: “The name Spencerian has imbedded itself in the consciousness of the American people. The name has been associated with business schools for almost a hundred years. It is an honored name.”

The Spencerian College stands for quality education expanding into technology and allied health as a growing educational institutional. The Spencerian College savors the honor of having its graduates holding positions in medical professions, business and industry all across the country. 

In 1977, the college opened Lexington Campus in the heart of “bluegrass country”. The Spencerian College pays regard to adapting to employer needs in a continuous process of course and program evaluation.

CAREER SERVICES

The career services department of Spencerian College pays regard to the successful employment of the students. The staff provides assistance for matching the abilities and interests of students to the jobs which is likely to enhance the career success.

The career services staff prepares the students for their first job interview. Helpful hints and techniques are taught to the students in order to lessen the anxiety of first interview.

One-on-one sessions are also introduced in order to communicate abilities, special preferences and needs. The career services staff is also available to provide placement services to the graduates. Graduates of all programs of Spencerian College are eligible for the job search assistance. The assistance is provided to the students without charging any additional cost.

The Spencerian College does not guarantee employment to any candidate; however, it does provide guidance, contacts and directions regarding the career opportunities.

STUDENT ORIENTATION

Student orientation is managed by Spencerian College in order to help the students for transition to college. Orientation is meant for getting the students acquainted to the college life and other important programmatic information.
Each quarter orientation takes place for a time period of one or two days.
