MISSION AND OBJECTIVES

The Stevens Henager College is committed to the mission of helping student graduates in getting reasonable jobs within a shorter period of time.

The goal of the college is to foster success for the students through career-oriented programs and development of communication, critical thinking and decision making skills.

ACCOMPLISHMENT OF THE GOAL

The accomplishment of the goal of Stevens Henager College is based on the following.

• Provision of specific competencies that are likely to enable the students to develop skills needed in the chosen fields.
• Provide education to the students to make them competent members of the community.
• Provide learning programs that deliver a variety of skills to the students.
• Act as a leader of higher education in each of our communities.

HISTORY OF THE COLLEGE

The Stevens Henager College was established in 1891, in Ogden, Utah by Professor J A Smith. Initially the name of the institution was Intermountain Business College. The basic purpose of the college was to provide commercial education to the students and place them in the business positions. For the following 68 years the institution was known as Smithsonian Business College.

In 1959, the name of the institution was changed to Stevens-Henager College. The main campus of the college is in Ogden. In 1978, a branch campus was established in Provo, Utah. In June 2011, a campus of the college was established in St George.

STUDENT SERVICES

TUTORING
Tutoring services are provided to all students free of cost. Online programs of Stevens Henager College are also associated with many types tutoring services which are directed by instructors, mentors, staff and teaching assistants.

ADVISING
The students are provided with academic advisors who provide academic assistance to the students and provide answers for their queries.

CAREER SERVICES
The students may avail the career services provided by Stevens Henager College at no additional charges throughout their careers. The Stevens Henager College does not guarantee employment to the students, however, guidance and contacts may be provided by the college during the career service process.
