PHILOSOPHY AND OBJECTIVES

Included in educational philosophy of Sullivan College of Technology and Design is the development of creative challenge for the students. Learners of Sullivan College of Technology and Design are encouraged to hone their personal skills and social responsibilities.

The basic goal of Sullivan College of Technology and Design is to prepare/train students for rewarding careers, to assist students in attaining growth within their positions and to become a source of benefit for the society. The students at Sullivan College of Technology and Design are encouraged to develop high degrees of competency and social responsibility.

HISTORY OF SULLIVAN COLLEGE OF TECHNOLOGY AND DESIGN

The Sullivan College of Technology and Design was established by George Dumbaugh in 1961. Initially, the institution was given the name of Louisville Technical Institute.  George founded the college to payback for the act of kindness extended to him by two individuals who assisted him in the accomplishment of his educational goals.

The Sullivan College of Technology and Design can be regarded as growing and changing college. The school commenced its educational services with a student enrollment of 10 candidates and it savors the honor of earning respect of industry and business throughout the country.

Today Sullivan College of Technology and Design confers its services through a multi-million dollars campus and confers diplomas, certificates, associate and bachelor degrees.

ORIENTATION
Transition to the college is likely to be an important time for the students. Orientation program is organized by the college before the beginning of new classes. The orientation is meant for getting the students acquainted to the policies, class schedules, student services and staff responsibilities.

CAREER SERVICES
The Sullivan College of Technology and Design serves the students and its community by providing following career services.

• Assistance is provided by the Career Services Director to help graduates in finding the right jobs.
• The students of Sullivan College of Technology and Design can get unlimited career services throughout their working time-spans.
• Free of cost services are also provided to the employers in order to enable them in locating graduates of Sullivan College of Technology and Design, when required.

The career services are provided to the students at no additional costs.


STUDENT HOUSING
Students under the age of 21 may avail housing facilities at Gardiner Point Residence Hall located one-quarter mile away from the college. The residence hall offers reasonable living and learning environment along with many services to provide a reasonable college experience.

Amenities include large student dining facility, workout facility, computer lab and wireless internet.
