The university encourages a student-centered learning environment that supports the students in the identification and achievement of their learning objectives. The university pays regard to the culture of teaching excellence and encourages faculty, students and staff to participate in the service activities in local and surrounding communities.
In 1973, Bryant and Stratton Business College merged with Sullivan University.
In 1979, the institution got accredited by Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.
In 1990, a Baccalaureate Degree Program was added to the curriculum and in 1992, the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools granted Baccalaureate degree program accreditation.
In 1997, the Sullivan University commenced a graduate school that offered Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree at its main campus. In 2000, the institution got the board’s approval to change its name from Sullivan College to Sullivan University.

Amenities that are provided to the students at Sullivan University include: modern equipment, smaller classes, qualified faculty that teaches the students to fulfill the requirements of today’s job markets.
Career services department of the university strives to foster successful employment opportunities for the students. The career staff works with graduates individually in order figure out their abilities and skills in their chosen fields. Following career services are provided to the graduates.
In order to access the faculty, students need to utilize the university emails and learning management system. E-learning student service co-coordinators are available 24/7 in order to assist the students when faculty members are unavailable.

HISTORY OF THE UNIVERSITY
The Sullivan University was established in 1962 by A. O. Sullivan and his son, A. R. Sullivan when they felt the need of a higher education institution dedicated to the high standards for preparing people for reasonable careers. In 1972, the institution savored the honor of getting authority to award associate degrees.In 1973, Bryant and Stratton Business College merged with Sullivan University.
In 1979, the institution got accredited by Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.
In 1990, a Baccalaureate Degree Program was added to the curriculum and in 1992, the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools granted Baccalaureate degree program accreditation.
In 1997, the Sullivan University commenced a graduate school that offered Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree at its main campus. In 2000, the institution got the board’s approval to change its name from Sullivan College to Sullivan University.
