ACADEMIC ADVISING

Director of the department or the member of advising center staff is regarded as an academic advisor at The Art Institutes. Along with the assistance in achievement of learning goals, the director is likely to provide support for career goals as well.

Exclusive academic advising services are provided to new or re-entry students. The advising center provides guidance regarding the requirements of educational programs.

CAREER SERVICES

Near the completion of the program, individual career counseling is provided to the students by career advisors to review the career objectives, interview techniques, resume development and job-search strategies. Different programs like career days and portfolio shows are organized in order to develop contacts between employers and about-to-become graduates of the institution.

The career services department provides support in locating part-time employment opportunities while the students continue their learning courses. The students may reckon part-time job opportunity as a good mean of financing their educational expenses. 

Quarterly job fairs and on-site recruiting events are also organized by the college. Freelance job opportunities are provided by Art Institute of Atlanta through which students can gain a valuable experience.

The services provided by career services department may include: graduate job assistance, part-time job postings, information about industry events on campus, job development and personal assistance in job searches.

Career services are also provided to the alumni of The Art Institute through Alumni Connections Online Community, where alumni can post their resumes and search for different job openings.
